Regarding the Necropolis. I've played many online battles with a friend who is an expert in Necropolis, and on small maps, he crushes me. A small army doesn't allow the Barbarian to deploy; while you make two moves to reach the enemy, he wipes out two-thirds of your troops with magic. And hit-and-run tactics are devastating with the Necropolis. He takes seven level 1 Scouts, hides them, and while I'm searching the field for them, he attacks with enhanced Golems. But I found a trick for this too. Hidden units can be detected as follows: when Trappers set a trap, they can't place it on the spot where a hidden unit is located. Therefore, to detect a Scout, we move the trap around the field and see where it can't be placed – all the Scouts are detected, and the army moves where it should, and everyone gets a positive morale boost :) and... in some cases, it's possible to defeat them all and deprive the opponent of their Sorceress hero.
Another bonus, I don't know if it's been mentioned before, but the Barbarian's reinforcements help destroy catapults when defending a Castle. If you separate a single unit of Centaurs into a separate stack, give them reinforcements, and attack a catapult, the catapult will be destroyed immediately. For some reason, it takes an incredibly large amount of damage (several thousand), which naturally destroys it. We do the same with an Enchanted Ballista. Who are the main damage dealers for the Elves? Unicorns and Ents? Or maybe another three hundred Dancers? Let them dance in front of the gates while our hero scares away archers with a roar, and the towers with Centaurs will also help. At least, this seems to me to be the most painful for the attacker if it comes to defending the Castle.
As for the first-level Goblins, which are being criticized here, it's not a problem to gather 700 of them (and that's +700 damage from the Horde Shout, by the way). Besides, that's 700 * (7+2+1) = 7000 hit points, and they can deal significant damage and set traps. When defending a Castle, they can do the following: rush out of the Castle gates, attack, take damage in return, and run back into the Castle. In short... Goblins are the choice of connoisseurs.

I recently got high and started playing Heroes, went into the Orcish Castle, and with the music turned off, I could only hear the effects: flies buzzing, someone screaming in the distance, the sound of drums, some kind of roar, the wind whistling. It's creepy... And I had this thought: Orcs and Goblins were slaves, prisoners, then there was a rebellion, and the organization of their own army, the construction of cities, a nation of former convicts. A triumph of cruelty and savagery. In their own army, Cyclops eat Goblins (a favorite delicacy), throw them at enemies, and shamans sacrifice them. A civilization of fear and disgust. All these poisonous Wyverns, Paoka, to whom cowards (read: Goblins) are fed. And these creatures conquer the world! Half-human, half-beast, they go completely wild at the sight of blood, what kind of magic?! They can barely speak... And then there's a snag. The Shamans. The very ones who are the most beautiful in the polls, crowds of young girls, where do they come from? Where do these Sorceresses come from in this horde of animalistic criminals? And they are powerful, they know about electricity. From what kind of steppes.
But in general, I'm for the oppressed. I think their struggle for freedom is fair, so my choice is Orcs, and my worst enemy is Humans and Demons. :)
