I've just become kind of curious... What "will saves" or "intelligence saves" and other things like that are being referred to here, if none of the opponents have stats???

Mobs use a raw chance to reflect negatives, without stats. Therefore, for the most part, they are easily affected by statuses. NPCs and players, however, use both the stat and the reflection chance.
