I cannot agree with the statement that every artist can and should draw this entire line in absolute photo-realism.

No one owes anyone anything; things aren't drawn like that just because. Besides, the rest is drawn quite realistically.
Okay, here's a more serious argument: her right shoulder is covered by this top, and her left is bare; I just noticed that. In reality, the artist would have chosen one option for both shoulders.
