No, my characters wouldn't perform so many useless actions, such as digging up and burying a decaying corpse every few days. Instead, they would find a necromancer who would stop the decomposition processes in the woman's body and then revive her as a puppet. Or, if there are no necromancers in the setting, they would store the woman's body in ice for better preservation and also care for it using various oils.
