Jack_of_shadows, thanks! I tried adding sleep(1), but it didn't help. The hero appeared even without the delay; it was visible, although the command was executed. But in general, the command will probably be useful; I'll keep that in mind for the future. I also need to figure out why there's a slight lag when the game starts. Removing the blocking of certain areas from the startup function made it a bit easier.

+ Without calling the hero from the reserve and simply using StartCombat with only mobs and adding a script to the corresponding parameter, there is no call to it.
