To reform the order and bring it to a state of maximum efficiency, I ask you to consider the following and, should it be Your will, facilitate this by passing it to the appropriate parties; or permit me to act accordingly.
Task 1: Reward.
To boost morale for completing a hopeless mission (even if it was spontaneous for us), a reasonable monetary reward could be issued (to the dragon slayers, including the allied Kalina), keeping in mind that Her Highness Naera has already taken the liberty of distributing several artifacts among Carneol as preparation.
Task 2: Initiation and Ranks.
Status: The formal initiation procedure for the current membership will be held tomorrow morning, November 21. Nevertheless, additional personnel of minimal rank may be required, including unnamed ones, to perform simpler assignments (listed below).
Proposals: A small hierarchy. I would like to separate the dragon slayer knights, who have already gained some fame through this collective achievement, by giving them special titles; this will have a positive effect on motivation. As for Klin, who joined recently — given his length of service, I will take the liberty of granting him a full knight, though without a special title. Named recruits should be initiated as squires, so that this status changes in the next serious battle (of those about which something can be said publicly). Certain people for additional activities, such as the maid, or any additional staff that may be needed, remain in their status as servants/guards, which may be changed in the event of certain merits.
Task 3: Permanent Income.
Status: Several people left in the past, likely partly due to this nuance. This money is spent one way or another on purchasing enhancing items or intensive training, so not a single rem will be wasted.
Proposal: There is no information on current knightly orders; I ask for contacts for a meeting and clarification, or we can simply do it by analogy if such information is known to You. I hope this will work better than attempting to guess and will be more respectful toward the treasury.
Task 4: Food.
Status: Renewal of the contract with the restaurant is required; this will be resolved by a personal visit tomorrow, the bill has been sent. In the future, a cook is needed at the Fortress (note: the profession is not on the charm list, but theoretically the problem is solvable through personal connections).
Task 5: Guarding/Protecting the HQ from Intrusion.
Status: Spending the strength of the few main members on 24-hour duty would be a bit too much, but at the moment it is already clear that attention toward Carneol is high, and we can no longer exist as carefree as before.
Proposals: Novices/servants specifically for this job; significant combat experience is not required, the main things are reliability, the ability to follow orders, and high perception. They won't save us from "ultimate" invisible spies, but from theft and sabotage — yes. After the move, these people can be used to populate the Fortress (although more will be needed there). For a typical shift (if the work is according to Margel legislation), 4 people are needed (covering 160 hours out of 168 weekly). 5 cover 168 hours with a margin.
Also — several safes (a reasonable suggestion by Klin). It would be good to make a purchase or be given contacts of whom to buy from, since Tentacle is no longer operating.
Also — a consultation with someone with relevant experience (Draco Mellis with experience guarding the patriarch, if it includes something of this nature).
Against spies, grills can be temporarily installed on the windows, but the entrance door cannot be protected this way and invisibles cannot be detected, so it will only help partially. I will try to look for technical or magical solutions, but it would be better if some organization has a ready-made one (scouts?).
Task 6: Search and Pursuit.
Status: The status of the task is unsatisfactory. There is contact with Cassiopeia Eresaf, but she is not interested in permanent work, and no one possesses hunter skills.
Possible solution in hiring (budget) or further training (if such an opportunity exists, it is better).
An additional possibility or alternative to a hunter — well-trained service dogs on the budget.
Task 7: Information about Nephiria.
Mostly resolved by hiring a suitable person (Tluassa Elfir), but there may be some subtleties unknown to our recruit.
Possible solution in exchanging information with veterans on the front lines. It would be especially valuable to find those who personally managed to encounter Monogat, although the chances are slim.
Task 8: Access to Information.
To monitor the current state of the Empire's enemies, or any situation related to Carneol, I ask for permission to establish permanent contact with scouts (candidate to assist in this task: Penelope Hau). There may also be a need for a corresponding operative (the same person as the hunter, or someone else).
If Klin has no objections, it will be sent via secure channels.
Erefir slowly prepares for a new day, not forgetting to draw the Carneolians' attention to the book about Eir, and regretting that no one ever bought the "Saga of Baldur"...
