It didn't work on me for the obvious reason that I went with nostalgia. Yes, there are good games now that I play (DOS2, by the way, doesn't really count, I've abandoned it), but that feeling when you pass the math exam, buy Fable 3 at the store, and then go home to spend a whole week saving Victorian England from dark forces and romancing your childhood friend, nothing can compare to that anymore...
