— I was given this address in response to a request for "help in finding someone who can track," not "finding a new member for a mercenary group." I'm not sure how appropriate it will be to visit now with a completely different purpose.

-- Well, the person whose address was given is unlikely to know the reason why. So, I think any reason related to his interests will do, rather than asking for something for free.

-- Although, when I was traveling, I heard strange stories about a powerful sage or sorcerer who granted wishes, but always with a price. And if someone asked a question instead of making a wish, they would receive an answer, but they would lose their valuable abilities, a part of their mind that was responsible for them. So, yes, problems can happen here too, but it's still quite rare.)
