Yes, the Warlock is the strongest faction in the early stages of the game, but if you play on an XL map, clearing it, then Wizards will completely crush the Warlocks!
And on an XL map, you can reach the enemy within a month. And if you're talking about parties where you "level up for 3 months and then fight the main hero," that's not really playing the game.
On the other hand, on large maps, you can focus on mentoring and you'll end up with a 30th-level main hero and 7 20th-level and one 28th-level characters. So you'll be quite surprised.
The main thing is to think more strategically, and not just meet in one battle and decide everything there.
