After all, flying with the staff is an emergency escape through minor exploits, not a normal way to leave, not something that Narya should have in mind.
*Of course*, in her place, I would have provided a private airship ready for departure; that looks much more reliable than hoping that they will manage to escape on their own, assuming that she cares and still hopes to use us, and doesn't want us to be captured (then we would have to be exchanged on the terms of the Taivosians). /
