After considering what he heard, the Lord turns to Erefir.
- Quite unexpected, but I agree with you. If a victim surrenders without a fight, it is extremely unfortunate, and this applies to both cases. In a physical sense, it's like sharing a bed with a log or hunting a legless boar; in a spiritual and intellectual sense, it's like drinking cheap swill – the effect is achieved, but there is no enjoyment.
On this note, the meeting came to an end. Erefir and Garret receive +1 to charisma and +1 to intelligence.
On the way back after the conversation, somewhere near Carneol, Erefir says to Garret:
-- Yes, I was actually expecting some other topics; I had the feeling that everything was too... They haven't seen any action. However, Mr. Know-It-All is a romantic, and I respect that. And, by the way, you surprised me, Garret the crossbowman, speaking so confidently about curses and black magic, as if it were your own experience, or at least something you've witnessed firsthand.
(The people of Carneol can apparently have a new day)
