Funny. It seemed to Melen that the members of the mighty Carnelian would kill each other on this sphere. Well, they no longer have a leader, nor the Lion's artifacts, but the task seems to have been accomplished. The Queen is flying towards the Imperial shores, and there is no pursuit in sight. Could it be a victory?
It's hard to say how things would have turned out if Garret hadn't decided to knock the guard unconscious with a skull. Maybe they would have thrown her out, Melen. Maybe both of them. Maybe a fight would have started, and the mage who retained the powerful blade would have won.
Speaking of the mage. Leadership will probably now fall to him. All the levers of power are in his magical hands.
What will she do? Will Melen accept such a pragmatic leader into her ranks, one who divides the world into his own and others? Or will she disdain him? Never mind. It doesn't matter right now anyway. The sphere still has a long way to go.
The journey turned out to be short, but as always: unsuccessful for Melen. Oh, what a life. Yes, she met the Queen, but she turned out to be quite unremarkable compared to Melen's vivid fantasies. And the price was a burnt-steak appearance.
Melen looks into the distance. The whole world is suffering, and suffering is a reflection of reality. In this scenario, there is only one true worldview: masochism. Or, for the more practical: sadomasochism. Glory to pain and suffering!
We will all die. The question is only when and how.
