First thing after the victory, Mellen ran to the shore and drowned looked at her reflection in the water. If before the spy could call herself attractive, now this bloody mess with a crispy crust could only please someone through incredible violence against the unfortunate. Sighing heavily, Mellen tore her old cloak, which she had had for several years, into rags and somehow wrapped it around her face, leaving only a slit for her red eyes with burst blood vessels. Yes, the northerners are surprisingly hospitable. An entire combat airship for some random strangers with a boat and even without a ship. And they even lost this killing machine, without killing anyone. How clumsy.
With her face wrapped, Mellen returns to the others. Well, many have become quite the lookers. A squad of monsters. But Beata got lucky. Now she has to handle the diplomatic side of things. She looks better than everyone else now. There will be some trust... probably.
"Well, I won't be getting any dates now," Mellen croaked. "Unless I peel off all my skin and fill the wounds with medicinal cosmetics. That kind of operation would be expensive, and it would be more painful than the bombs of this airship."
