Because there will be some other skills crammed in on the left. I'll have to dig through the heroes, picking out heroes with skills close to what I need, and why do I need the extra time spent and the limited choice of heroes?

Fix the skill upgrade system. And the game will immediately become much better, otherwise, by the time you upgrade to something useful, so much crap will be shoved in that you won't be happy.
