Somewhere there, in parallel, or perhaps before or after, alongside Vari and Ixora.
Vari, of course, could no longer sulk after receiving the explanation, although she still believed that Futaba's trust would be much more valuable than concern for the life of the refitter. For a warrior, faith in their professionalism should generally be a more valuable thing. For the same reason, Vari didn't try to change the situation in any way, attempting to "help" Ixora by replacing her at the post in the room. There was a feeling that Futaba would still agree to keep her old roommate, but there was also an understanding that Ixora probably didn't need it.
