Even if it was just once during the day, that game of ball with Vita was an interesting new experience for Varya. No matter how difficult it was for her to understand something, trying to overcome her peculiarity, it was nice to win once.
And yet, pleasantness is pleasantness, but there was one unfinished matter that it would be wrong to postpone any longer.
Varya pulls Chloe aside and sadly lowers her head:
-- Chloe, forgive me for upsetting you in our last conversation. My persistence and my words were rude and sometimes inappropriate, but I didn't have bad intentions. However, this was the last time.
"Because I'm unlikely to have such an open conversation with anyone again."
