I had a significant advantage, which allowed me to build up a good lead and establish a strong position. I was building a Grand Mage.
My opponent had fewer heroes and only 2 cities compared to my 4.
My first treasure hunt was quite disappointing, but the second one was in the desert, and I got the Pathfinding skill for Gunnarr. On level 126-127, without thinking, I attacked 2 Crystal Dragons with a small group of harpies. I didn't have enough units to deal with them, and they also resisted my magic. In the end, I only killed one. And most importantly, I didn't learn the Resurrection spell from the Grand Mage before entering the treasure hunt.
On levels 131-132, with a full purchase and Resurrection, I finished it. I gathered a makeshift desert treasure and maxed out the Utopia creature in the first treasure hunt.
My opponent, with a Death Dragon, went on the attack and positioned himself near the city. He had a larger army and a stronghold, but I had a Scorpius and antimagic from the Chaos Zone. At a crucial moment, the morale of his Manticores dropped, which prevented me from continuing the fight, otherwise, it would have been a disaster. I gave them an Implosion and a Retribution.
I spent the night in the city to give them another Implosion and Retribution, but he turned out to have Shackles and Armageddon, which he used this time. Who knew.
In theory, I could have used Teleportation on Gunnarr to quickly move around. Or, if I hadn't messed up the fight with the Crystal Dragons, things would have been different.
Thank you for the game! 0:1
