The location resembled either a bazaar or simply a large room filled with many people. While I was occupied with something unknown, scientists led a genetically engineered blue worm, about the size of a sea cucumber but furry, down the street. Everyone cautiously moved out of the way of this strange creature, and I decided to stand further back. The worm crawled up to a peacefully resting seal, attached itself, and suddenly they formed some kind of creepy mono-organism that began to clone itself at an incredible rate 😮.
The scientists exclaimed, "Oops, we didn't expect that," and I thought, "These irresponsible biologists are driving me crazy," and I went through the portal. Yes, it was some kind of door between dimensions; people came out on the other side for a walk. My task was to stand at the entrance and not let anyone back in until the scientists figured out what they had done – basically, a quarantine. I stood with my staff, and in case of any aggressive attempts to break through the cordon, I would bash the offenders with it.
That's what should have been done in real life when the coronavirus quarantine was introduced in the spring.
Finally, it seemed to me that
I had beaten enough people enough time had passed, so I took two of the most reasonable people from that dimension and we returned to see how things were going. It turned out that time flows differently there, and we were in the distant future (oops, sorry, that's awkward for those who wanted to return before the New Year). Trying to analyze my mistake and how it all works, we came to the conclusion that time when passing through the portal may flow cyclically or randomly, so it makes sense to stay in the future for now to create a device that automatically checks the time between dimensions.
We got into a car and drove to a spaceport for some reason. On the way, I was excited and thought, "Now that I'm a time traveler, maybe I can develop temporal vision or something."
We passed palm trees, and I told my companions, "Look, very tasty nuts are falling from them, they're ripe." There were many smooth, large nuts in each shell, very tasty, sweet, and with a chocolate flavor, and I happily ate one shell.
A man approached me and said, "Actually, this is private property, and stealing nuts is a serious crime. What are you doing?" I apologized and offered to pay for what I had eaten, and asked how much it cost – the man set a crazy price of $20 per nut. Okay, I calculated that I ate about 10, so that's $400 (
mafs). I only had 500-euro bills in my wallet – well, okay, I took them out. They looked at me suspiciously... Then I saw that some people had arrived in large numbers, with bags, clearly from a trip, and they went into the nearest house, unloaded their things... I turned to the man and asked him, "By the way, who are you?" and he gave an awkward laugh. It was clear, clever, very clever...
I approached the arriving group, and one of them was very happy to see me, said that he was a Fremen
(guess from the dream, what movie did the Cop watch recently), and had been looking for me for a long time – and he gave me a 1000-ruble note o_O. I took it, and then the dream ended.
