Perhaps we should have positioned everyone at the entrance, and let Gulveig go in solo to eliminate them all, and that would have been the only correct solution, if not for the villagers who would have attacked those standing at the exit. But even there, we could have somehow used the darkness of the cave to our advantage and shot them down with Kayoshi... Probably. It's hard to develop a strategy with critical failures.
