Well, the triera is probably good for an assassin. Like, if you get spotted and exposed to an attack, you can withstand one hit before going back into the shadows.
And overall, it's decent for a nimble character who probably won't get hit more than once in a fight (but if they do, it'll hurt).
From a lore perspective, the Sylvan faction should clearly be a relatively versatile powerhouse (and it also works well with the "lovers" archetype, which explains why they're being hunted). If not, you should just look for other nimble characters.
