This is all a workaround. I need a function. Otherwise, I can just try different methods to see where and on what each player starts.

Well, if I understand correctly, these "workarounds" completely solve the problem; then why do we even need the mod? Besides, it’s unlikely that such a mod could be created, except perhaps as a map patcher with scripts, but that would look strange and even more like a workaround than what I suggested, IMHO.
