Yeah... of course, in this thread, every post contains a certain amount of good and quite logical thoughts (some have more, some have less, but that's not the point). As a person who has been here for a while (although, judging by the number of posts under my name, the opposite could be said :)), I can say the following: you will continue to argue about this eternal topic.
Until you figure it out here and come to certain criteria by which you can judge whether a Clan is active or dead. And this is not as easy as it might seem at first glance.
Below, I will provide facts and arguments that will help you determine these criteria.
A Clan is a group of like-minded people!
Yes, that's true. These are people who have a lot in common (views, mindset, goals, etc.), that is, they are united by some ideology. You can also add that a Clan is a group of fans of something, promoting and adhering to a certain ideology.
Therefore, at the moment, it would be much more effective if the accepted changes clearly reflected the equality of all Clans in relation to the new features, so that everyone has an equal chance to prove themselves, and challenging them would mean admitting that they are "dead."
In any system (whether it is a state or some physical/chemical phenomenon), there are its own rules and laws. In some cases, they are axioms; in others, they are written and enforced by society itself (the mechanism for adopting laws varies everywhere, depending on the structure of the community).
The Clan Rating on our portal has been updated; I invite everyone to familiarize themselves with it and think about the current situation (especially I ask the Clan leaders to think about it).
This rating shows only the official side of individual participants in tournaments, even though they are members of a Clan (or a pseudo-Clan).
And the fact that there were no participants from a particular Clan does not indicate anything, let alone the activity of the Clan. The championship is personal, not inter-Clan.
This does not prove anything; in Canigame, for example, anyone can participate, even without a Clan.
But if the rating was based on inter-Clan tournaments, not just taking an ordinary tournament and calculating who is better based on it, but specifically when two Clans (or more) agreed to hold a separate tournament between themselves... that would be a different story. Are topics with such proposals closed, or are they simply not available?
Yes, in any tournament, whether it's ONN or OFF, if 1v1 is played, it only shows the strength of a particular participant, but not the Clan as a whole.
But here you are absolutely wrong. The people who won victories and earned rating points in individual and Clan tournaments will show a result. Or do you think that the strength of the Clan's players and the Clan itself are not related?
No, they are not related. The strength of a Clan should show the strength of the unity of people in the Clan. They are related in that, even in an OFF tournament, they can "help" their Clan member. And in a tournament where several players from one Clan participate, and at the same time they compete with each other, it is still impossible to judge the real strength of the Clan as a community of like-minded people based on these results.
The strength of a Clan is not only in the number of strong players... In general, it's a pity that there is no practice of pair games, i.e., when, for example, 4 people participate, pair against pair... this is already a team game, showing the strength of the Clan....
This is exactly what shows the strength of the Clan, the strength of its unity.

In this case, the fact that there are not Clans on the forum, but simply teams (like a сборная Russia, France, etc.) is a fact. Until there are purely inter-Clan tournaments, where at least 2 people from a Clan participate, and there is no competition between Clan members. The competition should take place between Clans, and only in a Team game, then there will be real Clans. And what was said
First, you need to approach the organization responsibly, choose a multi-variant map, refine it, and secondly... hmm... it will just be a "monkey business," because there are already enough official off-line tournaments on the resource, and you can rely on their quality organization.
can be said as follows: if a person creates/joins a Clan consciously, then he should understand that he will have to defend not only personal superiority (all official tournaments, regardless of whether they are ONN or OFF), but also defend and uphold the honor of the Clan in inter-Clan tournaments (regardless of whether they are ONN or OFF). Then he will think about whether he has enough time/strength, etc., so as not to infringe on personal/Clan interests and still manage to do both. (And as always, it turns out that it is impossible to do everything, and you have to sacrifice something). Then there will be no dead Clans, and Clans will be created wisely, and people will also join them wisely. The main thing is to create a Clan atmosphere on the portal.
Thank you for your attention.

I can add the following on my own:
A person who joins a Clan (and especially creates a Clan) must be aware of his actions; a Clan is your "second" family, to which you will have to devote/give part of yourself and your time.
At one time, I was in a Clan, although the Clan consisted of only 3 people, but nevertheless I spent a lot of time on the Clan (communication, training, tournaments, etc.). And so did everyone who was in our Clan. We had our own family. And we achieved success (at least this is also a result). In one of the city championships, our Clan took 4th place (specifically in a team game), and there were (not many, not few) 26 teams.
At the moment, I don't have the time to devote to my "second" family - my Clan. For these reasons, I do not join Clans.
As a result, Clans on the forum exist only "on paper," not in reality, although they try to consider the merits of individual people who are members of the "Clan" as the merits of the Clan. This is fundamentally wrong; these are the merits of individual people, not the Clan.
But many forum users, those who are coordinators, moderators, they already devote a lot of time to the forum, and they deserve praise and respect for this. I devote my time to what I have time for.

And also:
The essence of the problem is that there are tournaments for personal championships... people participate in them and get a personal rating... and there are team (Clan) tournaments... Clans participate in them (or a team from a Clan, depending on the tournament quota)... and the Clan gets a rating... but if there are no team tournaments... then there are no team ratings... and in the end, what is the point of Clans (teams)???... if only personal championships are taken into account and team tournaments are not held.
