Well, you made that choice yourself. If you had been spinning the event banner, you would have gotten a character. There's basically no chance of getting a five-star weapon from it.

But in the standard banner, you can roll for Jean, while event banners have Venti and Klee... The choice is obvious. And there's no point in speculating about what might have been. Maybe I wouldn't have gotten any five-star items there either.
