Sacred Haven of Debauchery

Mayonnaise is more of a substitute when there's no sour cream, and you really want some.

I simply don't understand how you can replace sour cream with mayonnaise. Is it based on the principle that "it's all the same color anyway"? Why don't you just add ice cream or toothpaste then?
