Well, that's why it places the files in the default location where "Buka," "Nival," and "Ubi" are usually installed!

It should, however, default to the standard installation path if that's the path selected in the installer. Otherwise, it should check for a modified path. Otherwise, it's strange to have a setting that doesn't work.
And then, I suppose, the installer would become universal, rather than being specific to "Buka," "Nival," and so on. And that would be a good thing...
