There's a really good dog model in Dark Messiah. A dog, not a wolf. Unfortunately, this model doesn't have attack or death animations. But it does have an awesome animation for the "Stir" spell, where the dog chases its tail, like a normal dog would. So, while we could potentially figure something out for the death animation (by tweaking the damage animation, as there are about 10 of those, from different angles and with varying impact force), the attack animation would have to be created from scratch. I know for sure that reassigning the movement from the wolf's bones in Heroes 7 to the dog's bones in Dark Messiah is possible in principle, but how much work it will be is still unclear.
Wow, that sounds cool. Or maybe add it as a model for a hero, then the attack animation wouldn't be needed?
