I mostly agree. I would add that the desire to feed one's ego is harmful not only and not so much to those around, but also to the person who boasts. Footman, everyone will be happy to receive constructive criticism from you or anyone else (and not just happy, it's worth its weight in gold), but constructive criticism implies that it somehow helps the person being criticized. If it doesn't provide all the ways to solve the problem on a silver platter, then at least it should nudge them in the right direction. And, of course, there can be no "I'm the only one doing everything right" in constructive criticism. In short, let's forget that this incident happened. Let's focus on the positive and help each other and move forward together. I believe that as a small community, we have a significant potential for development, and we can theoretically use it.
