God... Truth or fiction?

God is a good excuse. Otherwise, everything would seem simple, like madness.

I disagree.

God exists. The question is only what (or who) to consider God. Solovyov considered love to be God (the philosophy of all-unity). For Hegel, God is the world spirit. For some, God is being. For others, God is themselves. I believe that God exists as long as people believe in him. His very existence is proven by faith in him.

Gods were invented out of weakness; people sought protection from them against violence, against nature, in which people of antiquity, who previously considered themselves part of nature, suddenly saw an enemy, powerful, unpredictable, and deadly. Who else could they seek protection from?
But at the same time, for most religions of that period, there is one characteristic feature: God is a human (Veles is a human shepherd, Perun is a human warrior, etc.).
Then Christianity appeared, subsuming all local religions (pagan beliefs). God began to be considered not human. He became unknowable, without form. In early Christianity, by the way, one can trace the presence of paganism. In particular, Jesus Christ, whom many call God, was a human. Notice, God-man (man-god) – almost like Perun, right? Why was he needed there, given that the visible presence of God in the world (and you know that people were executed for visions of God) was vehemently denied? Because God needed a representative, someone who would promote his interests. However, this is only one of the reasons.
And in the early stages of Christianity, people sought protection in it.
Then, as they discovered nature and technology, people asked themselves: how was the world created? And religion – this is the most interesting part – offered an answer: God created it.
In the Age of Enlightenment, Man became bolder. He stopped fearing nature, the external world. And it wasn't just man who became bolder, but Mankind.
However, eternal questions remained: how did the world come about, what is it made of, and other currents, not only religious ones, began to provide answers (the atomic picture of the world, etc.). But this too has passed; we know what the world is made of, we know how it came about (the Big Bang theory and other theories).
Thus, at the present time (21st century), God, who originated as protection from the external environment, and then as an answer to questions (how did the world come about, etc.), is... the meaning of life!.
Ask yourself: why do you live? For yourself. Unlikely. For your family. Unlikely. And so on. See, if you don't know :), then the end of life is death (even reincarnation is death; a new person is born, in whom there is not even a particle of the old one, and if there is, how can this be verified?). And death negates all these mercenary meanings of life, which lose their meaning.

That is why God is the meaning of life.
