Hmm, I watched a stream of the Remake – Tolgar sucks... no armor... but I remember it well, and how he used to crush even stronger Tolgars...

I decided to add him to my game using the console and see what he's like. Not impressive, screenshots attached.
If it's not too much trouble, could you show me your Tolgar king in the Lords of the North version? What artifacts does he have? What are his stats? Maybe he even has a larger army?
P.S. I messed up with my paladins, I added a couple too many.
P.P.S. I decided to watch a walkthrough of the Remake. He manages with almost the same army as I do, and his stats are almost the same as Tolgar's. It seems like he was really nerfed. At the timestamp https://youtu.be/HeP9TTPGi0Y?t=10981, you can see that he's looking at the stats of the fire dragon, and they are 37 47 (Attack and Defense). Mine are 35 51 (Attack and Defense), which suggests that both in my game and in the Remake, Tolgar isn't overpowered. Maybe it WAS a bug that was fixed? =)
Hmm, I looked at the discussions... it seems like the lower the difficulty, the stronger Tolgar is... only the player with "Warrior" difficulty has something similar to what I said.... in principle, I was inexperienced and didn't really play the hero properly back then.
