Lex and a group of mercenaries arrive in Pilas, where they are greeted by Captain Valerian, who is already familiar to the merchant.

Lex waits for his turn to speak, so as not to accidentally ruin everything. Before that, he told his acquaintances not to let anyone think they were merchants. Just in case. They are bringing gifts and want to inspect the arena – something like that.

Mirna meets him at the entrance to the establishment, just as he is leaving.

– Hello, Will. Listen, I have a question.
Mirna told him about her friend who practices magic, but only at a beginner level. And she would really like to get Lex Kinda into the Abyss – but he wasn't even allowed into Upper Pilas. In this regard, Mirna wanted to, perhaps, convince Giliom – but she is not sure if it will work. And she doesn't know if Giliom is currently in the Abyss, and if so, where to find him.
