After Mirna tied a cloth over her eyes, someone approached her.
“Follow them and don’t try anything,” Dorness said monotonously, “or instead of an answer to your question, you’ll get a problem.”

Mirna began to realize that she had probably made a mistake by trusting the taciturn innkeeper, who hadn’t even promised to help her. Now, she needed to assess how wise it would be to “try something” at this moment. Apparently, not very wise, at least not in the presence of Dorness and those “them.” So, she obeyed.
