Sacred Haven of Debauchery

It's simple: in Turkey, almost everyone knows firsthand what typhoid fever is – it only takes eating something bought at the market without washing their hands. And in France, they've become too relaxed (but don't worry, the same Turks will soon remind them of the rules of hygiene).
Also, some European countries are implementing a mode of inadequate economy, which makes things worse.
That's why I don't quite understand why we're being compared to France. Either the survey was conducted in a strange place, or we really need to be more vigilant and shake hands with people less often.
