Might & Magic: Heroes 8 - to wait or not to wait?

In my opinion, Trial by Fire was the best (although not perfect) illustration of what we wanted to achieve for Heroes 7.

So, the expansion looks like how the original game should have looked, but it's sold separately?

Anyway, I need to test this DLC. Maybe they fixed the terrible balance and interface (although I doubt it).
