Anomaly is a very powerful card. It's just that in the Sylvan faction, there are no combinations with it. In Haven, where you can give followers immunity to spells, it would be more dangerous. And in Dragon, where, if I remember correctly, it could be buffed...
But Sylvan is not that, and it's not the other, there are simply no such support cards, and Anomaly is easily removed from the board.
