and by strict punishment, I mean not just "caught - punished," but "found out you betrayed us - we'll dig you out from under the ground, even from vampires, even on another continent, we'll find you, quarter you, and impale your head on a spear and put it on the road leading to our "Merry Healer" farm."
Well, such threats wouldn't look very convincing, primarily because, at least in the initial stages, there's no chance of actually carrying them out.)
That's why the idea of making a faction of "good guys" wasn't even considered, as it was deemed inherently flawed from the start.
That would be quite cool, but unfortunately, it limits the players. We'll have to create good factions with good characters in other worlds.
