Funny story, but now I'll write about what actually happened in that tournament.
Here is my first post where, during the tournament, Vic had a "wonderful" idea for the first time – to change the rules of the tournament that had already been approved...

Somehow, miraculously, Vic backed down and the rule was not introduced.
Then, Vic, with his "many years of experience and organizing tournaments," messed up by misunderstanding the Swiss system itself; it turns out he didn't understand how it should work when there was an odd number of players. In an attempt to "fix" it, he added an extra game between Delux and Lizard, without realizing that this would not fix anything at all, but rather make things worse. Because of his own mistake, he complicated the progress in the playoffs for two players who shouldn't have had subsequent games against other favorites. At this point, he couldn't be convinced anymore. Here is my message if you need it.
The inevitable result occurred – a draw, caused by the mutual destruction of two pawns. And a new round of "wonderful" changes to the regulations began.

Vic's favorite trick: pulling out small pieces of phrases out of context when the general meaning of the messages was completely different. Also, only messages from 2 people out of more than ten who decided to express their opinion were cited because they were the only ones who at least partially supported his initiative.
Here, I have lost even a hint of respect for the person who allows himself to be so dismissive of other people's opinions while ruining a tournament that took a considerable amount of time to prepare (this was one of the two of my messages mentioned by Vic as hitting rock bottom in his many years of experience on Hero forums :D)

Regarding digging up heroes and providing sound arguments, I didn't see any, so we will keep making mistakes until an argument appears "why it can't be done this way" or until there is an understanding "why it should be done this way."

Excellent position, don't you think? That is, a person who has not had any gaming experience for a long time believes that he should be given arguments about something that would prevent him from changing the rules during the tournament as he sees fit. The arguments of His Excellency obviously did not appeal to him.
