TE has its own unique features. The authors wanted to showcase their vision of balance, and why not?
But some changes, like

- Gremlins - pests: attack 4 (-1)

or

the "Explosion" ability became infinite (it used to be single-use), the damage from "Explosion" is 10*K (9*K)

really look amusing.
