Regarding the burning effect, you can see it in the 2nd mission of the "Awakening of Evil" campaign. As for Korovin, I think it's done through a trigger, but I'm not sure, so you can learn how to do it yourself in the Nival manual or look at the "2 Sisters" scenario, and you can also browse the scripting section, as it was discussed there.
