"Hammers of Fate" won't launch!
The installation goes smoothly, but when I try to start the game, my computer displays:
"The game cannot be started; d3dx9_25.dll cannot be found.
What does this mean, and what should I do? I'm waiting for helpful advice.

As Sandro correctly pointed out, you have an old version of DirectX installed. You need to install a newer version of DirectX 9.0c (preferably the October 2006 release; you can find it, for example, on the discs from the "Igrovania" magazine for that year).
