Well, as players, we definitely had a lot of information that "hinted" at it, yes.
I suggest this plan: Tsukiko, I don't know what she's doing, Livia casts a fire shield if she's still alive, Bedivere kills the nearest warrior with a sword, Tsukiko loots his weapon. If a character with high initiative can move later during the same turn, Tsukiko should do so and loot the sword from the killed warrior.
I'm thinking about this. The fire shield is a good thing, of course, but it's not a given that Livia can be resurrected after the battle if she's killed by Laid. And it's not a given that the fire shield will work on Laid. However, given what we've seen, we probably don't have a choice – we have to try. The bonus is that the weaklings definitely won't be able to attack Livia, and she can continue to blast them with magic. In general, yes, I agree with the plan.
