I didn't say that the formulas are mathematically equivalent. And I didn't say that ∑(Ri)+20*n(a) is equal to ∑(Ri+20). I said that they are physically equivalent, i.e., they describe the same model in a similar way. In post 616, I wrote:

∑(Ri)+20 (or 30)*n(a)
I repeat, physically, this is almost the same. If it's simpler and clearer this way, let it be. From now on, in all discussions, we will use this formula, but we will specify the beginner's rating.

I ask you to read my posts more carefully (although I understand that they are long). I may have missed a parenthesis once, assuming it was clear anyway. But now I can't make mistakes in the formulas (because I double-check them) and I can't misinterpret mathematical symbols. To avoid further misunderstandings between us, we define the multiplier as: (∑(Ri) (summation for those with a rating) + 20 (or 30)*n (number of beginners)) / 1000 And we move on to further discussion
