A rather poor start, even though it was Jeremy, but it was hard to break through — lots of shooters. Also, I accidentally drove myself into a swamp along the way.
By the second week, things got better; I even captured a library for Jeremy.
The second Conflux village was an excellent choice for building magic and purchasing elementals. However, by the beginning of the third week, I already had Dimension Door and Town Portal from the second rebuild. The problem was with the army — there were few objects. As it turned out, they were on the pathless terrain toward the computer (3 Griffin Conservatories, a Hive, and cyclopes), but the computer scout hero had already driven me away from that direction in the first week, and I never got a chance to return there. Then the opponent took my computer. A terrible Conflux-Tower matchup emerged. Plus, I had earlier captured a couple more computers.
The stats were more or less equal, but I was severely behind in army strength. I decided to distract and scare the opponent away from his business by capturing this castle via Dimension Door.
At the same time, I was leveling scout heroes and a new main hero (Nilu) for control.
And then the passivity happened — I attacked with a scout hero, carrying almost the entire army, at something I had intended to leave for Nilu to level up (70 Barbarian birds on a Pandora's Box). As a result, I lost the entire army of my native castle in three weeks — 12 cyclopes and 2 angels. I was left with a phoenix and three giants.
I had to spend a long time grinding and leeching stats for Nilu.
The opponent was denied Dimension Door for a long time (he had Town Portal and Wings), but he also didn't go on the attack, which gave me plenty of time to recover from the nosedive.
Full control on 5 heroes with three pairs of Boots and Gauntlets, of course, greatly helped in suppressing the opponent's scouts, and in the end, I managed to win the game through total map control.
Thanks for the game.
