For example, I've started eating everything now. Well, not junk food, but everything that normal people should eat. Because something... I've been on a diet for over three years, following it almost perfectly, and yet, year after year, it only gets worse, worse, and worse. I'm not getting enough vitamins and amino acids, and unrelated digestive issues are appearing.
Besides that, I've started exercising again, after three years of not doing any strength training at all. It's also not recommended for health reasons (that's why I stopped). But the process of losing weight and weakening is bad not only because of the worsening of external characteristics, but also because it's dangerous for health (a curved spine becomes harder to support, bones press on the stomach and other internal organs, common sense, basically).
I had a very bad night, and now I'm wondering - did I do the wrong thing by deciding to make these changes, or would I be thinking in a year that I did the wrong thing by deciding not to make them?
Maybe Sesama is right about strength training... But who knows, for example, I have a "long" spine, and without periodic strength training, it becomes noticeably difficult to support the spine. I would suggest looking into some kind of gentle routine. For example, deadlifts and hyperextensions are quite powerful exercises for the back, but instead, you could work your abs, which will also put stress on your back, but in a more gentle way. But it's hard for me to say, because I don't really understand what your contraindications are...
