Pros: Titans are strong in the late game, and Gremlins are good in the early game; the magic is powerful; Solmyr. Cons: Weak melee units; requires a lot of resources.

As for tactics, I try to upgrade the Mages and Gremlins and get magic to level 4, plus a Library, early on. Then I gradually build up the Titans.
