The “Mysterious Island” map from Heroes Olden Era will appear in Olden Era, and its creator, Papyjama, is becoming a level designer

Unfrozen studio continues to expand Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era. While the developers are working on team game modes and an advanced map generator (more details in the development roadmap), there have been many requests for new PvE content, and today the studio announced what it has been secretly working on for a long time.

We proudly present “The Mysterious Island” – a map inspired by Jules Verne’s novel, the father of French science fiction. This is one of the most popular maps among fans of PvE in “Might and Magic III,” and it was created by Papyjama. Now this scenario will officially appear in Olden Era.

But that's not all: along with the map, Papyjama himself joins the Olden Era team as a level designer. A true story about how a longtime fan of the series became its developer.

The original “Mysterious Island” is a large-scale scenario for Heroes III / Horn of the Abyss, in which players must reach Captain Nemo and his legendary submarine, the Nautilus. Papyjama worked on his creation for years, constantly improving it based on Community feedback.
