Might and Magic: Duel of Champions

Edit Summary: Hand-written Russian version.

Might & Magic: Duel of Champions was a free-to-play collectible card game by Ubisoft Québec, published by Ubisoft. Each player led a hero of one faction and played creatures, spells and fortune cards against an opponent. Its factions were those of the Ashan setting known from Heroes V and VI.

Release

  • PC: 13 September 2012.
  • iPad: 20 December 2012 (closed in September 2015).
  • PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360: 23 July 2014.
  • Closed: all servers shut down on 31 October 2016. Ubisoft said the player base was too small to keep developing and supporting the game.

How it played

  • Cards were collected in packs bought with real money or in-game currency.
  • Each side's battlefield had two rows of four slots: a front row for melee creatures and a back row for ranged ones. Flying creatures could be placed in either row.
  • Resources grew automatically each turn — there were no land cards — and the cards a deck could hold depended on the hero's faction and magic schools.

Factions

Haven, Necropolis, Inferno and Stronghold at launch; Sanctuary arrived with Void Rising and Academy with Forgotten Wars.
