On August 27, Ubisoft announced that it intends to release a remake of Heroes 3 by 2027 on its own.

Facts stated by the developers:

• the game will include 2 expansions

• 9 factions

• the original campaigns will be available

• online play for up to 8 players, including hotseat

• a map editor will be available
