To avoid being mistaken for the game's "fathers" once again, we will try to stay closer to the people. We don't think absolutely everyone pre-ordered Might & Magic: Heroes VI, but we are sure everyone wants to know specifically how the versions for "spoiled rich kids" differ. Today we will talk about what was special about the same own pre-order of Heroes VI.

Generally, as is known, the game was released in the RF on 13 October, but due to work I had to be a day late. So, on 14 October, I – Ugi - went to our local little shop, where a pre-order for the DVD box of the long-awaited Heroes 6 had been made.

I bought the pre-order box for 100 rubles, firmly believing in a future discount on the DVD box.

Reading from the pre-order box:

In the DVD box you will find:

- the game "Might & Magic: Heroes VI" (wow, I didn't know that the localization used such a translation);
- A sticker;
- A poster;
- A brochure with fan illustrations;
- Game add-ons: a unique hero and one unique item.


Inside the pre-order box itself, a beta key awaited me, which I never used since I had received it earlier, and a modest poster featuring the game's main characters.

In the store, I experienced my first disappointment: instead of the expected 400 rubles (500 minus discount), I shelled out half a thousand, receiving an affirmative answer that this is indeed the discount.

- Inside the box, two keys are pasted; one registers the game, and the second provides pleasant bonuses, which we will discuss later.
- A sticker with a winged guy was present.
- The poster is double-sided – on one side is a grumpy Michael (who is an angel), and on the other are all creatures from castles, distributed by Factions. It's nice, pretty, and very clear for a beginner. For example, my colleague, who had not seen Heroes until 14 October, looked at the poster and declared that he found the Free Tribes and their cute little faces extremely appealing.
- Some kind of stencil, with which lucky schoolchildren can mark desks with race symbols. I got the same for Inferno and the Free Tribes.
- But alas, I didn't find the brochure with fan illustrations. Truth be told, I wasn't very worried. Perhaps those who wrote about the presence of bonuses meant something else by "brochure"? In general, it's not as interesting as the main bonuses.


With shaking hands, the game was installed and updated. The tedious registration procedure was completed. However, it turned out that I didn't need to register – I had already done so in the beta. But I still had to mess around with it.

The menu loads. Huh? What? Where? Where are the bonuses?!

The dynasty features are empty!

My eyes frantically search for any clue. There it is – at the top. Between the Conflux system icons and the dynasty points, a "Load Add-ons" button with a flashing arrow has nestled itself. We click on it, and the following menu appears:



Personally, I chose "Exclusive".

To start, I entered the second key included in the DVD box. Then, for interest's sake, I tried entering it into "Additional Materials," as well as trying the first key. The result, as you can imagine, was zero. But a try is not a torture.

As a result of these activities, a new unique hero appeared in my collection. He turned out to be the orc chieftain Kraal.



And "Ashis' Staff of Eight Hypostases" appeared in the dynastic weapon collection



Draw your own conclusions: you may be disappointed with the purchase or, conversely, happy; you may have been upset that you didn't buy it, or gloat over those who bought such nonsense. Our job is simply to share this with you.

Yeah, I also got Kraal and the "Staff of Eight Aspects." It's just that I didn't enter the key into "Exclusive" right away. I have the collector's edition, and I received the pre-order bonus, which, of course, is different :(. So, there is indeed an issue with the bonuses and keys, but in this case, everything is fine.

That's strange. Personally, I didn't have any code to unlock the exclusive items, but I got Kraal and the Staff anyway. I didn't enter any codes or do anything; they were available right from the start. Digital Russian version.

The key word is "digital";). Like with Steam, everything is included right away.

Winner, not quite. When I launched the game, Yume, Kraal, Svetlana, and Agirre were there, but unfortunately, Akashi wasn't. That's a shame.
Now I'm trying to figure out if I should have received the pre-order content or not.
P.S. I have the Digital Deluxe edition.

So, it turns out that Kraal is available for pre-order, but the source of Akashi remains an open question.

I actually got the Jewel edition, played for a couple of hours, and then the collection became available, and you could even choose something. I chose the demonic heroine, and she appeared in my collection. But I don't know what to do with her next.

I bought the Heroes 6 DVD, poster, sticker, and stencil – everything was there, but there was no second key to activate the expansions. The first key doesn't work. The box stated that it should include 2 additional heroes and an artifact (or vice versa), but there was no second key. How can I get these bonuses?

Since the article is titled “Pre-order Bonuses,” I’d like to know if anyone has received these bonuses. And I’m not talking about the bonuses for the DVD box; the key that Booka sent in the email doesn’t work.
