jetAudio. Because it plays everything, including subtitles (that’s how I found it). It’s convenient because it collapses into a neat panel. Also, I don’t like Winamp or the Windows player. I haven’t tried anything else, so I won’t comment on what might be better.

Regarding video playback, Windows Media Classic is also quite interesting; it supports a wide range of formats, including the modern MKV, and it recognizes subtitles and multiple audio tracks without any problems. I believe it can even handle DVD video, although I don't remember the details exactly.

I've been using it for a long time – it's easy to use and has good features. I installed the latest version of K-Lite Codec Pack – it plays everything I need :cool:
As for an audio player, I used to use Winamp, but I switched to AIMP about six months ago, and I'm not complaining :) I like the ability to open multiple playlists, the built-in tag editor and converter (which I think is better than Nero's), and a lot of other little things, like not having to click the mouse to switch between the main window and the playlist :D

Video: Windows Media Classic, although it doesn't have an equalizer like ZumpLayer, but the latter has seen better days...
Audio: Winamp + Mediamonkey. I listen with the first, and use the second to organize, tag, and so on... I would use Mediamonkey exclusively if I could somehow integrate the same preset as in Winamp into its equalizer, and if there was a decent scrobbler for it.

Right now, I have some free music player on my phone, and it's mostly filled with hip-hop, along with my own tracks, which are also mostly hip-hop.
