Something unpleasant has been happening in my system for some time now (since the dawn of the internet), this...

It appears with some regularity.
It calls itself "connection is limited or unavailable," dies after a reboot and clicking the "fix" button in the "support" tab.

Does anyone know what this is?

And how to get rid of it?
Reinstalling Windows isn't an option; I've been doing that for the last few months, about 4 times in 2 months.

Try going into the properties of this connection and, on the first tab, uncheck the box next to "notify me when the connection is limited or unavailable." It helped me.

Do you mean "WT"? Maybe it's their specific bug? :) And if it were that simple... the internet sometimes crashes because of it.

If you're talking about the provider, I have Utel :) I also had internet crashes sometimes, with some kind of error, suggesting to send a report to Microsoft. It said something like Generic Host Process for Win32... Anyway, I can upload patches that fix this bug or glitch, or whatever else you want to call it. If you have the same problem, of course :)

As I understand it, it's not the main network that's causing the problem, otherwise there wouldn't be any internet at all... there are many possible solutions... from Hamachi to a second network card... Windows glitches are also possible... in the network environment properties, how many connections are there and what kind? And to which specific network does this icon refer? And if it is the main network after all, all questions should be directed to the technical support of your internet provider. =)

Just in case, this is the icon for the local network, a modem connected through a network card. This thing appeared even before I installed Hamachi...
In the properties, there's only one connection (not counting the local network). It's a standard connection through a proxy server. There's no point in contacting the provider... sometimes the internet is completely cut off for a while:eek: :eek: :eek:, without any explanation.
Windows glitches are certainly possible...:smile31: I just keep reinstalling it! Argh! I hate it!:smile36:

Maybe this is normal? :) For example, when Yutel was undergoing upgrades (presumably in preparation for the release of megabit plans), the connection would constantly drop, and sometimes we had to go without internet for more than a day. Not to mention that connecting to the internet in the middle of the day doesn't always work on the first try, and in the evening... :) If you've reinstalled Windows many times, it's unlikely to be the problem. Besides the hardware and the provider, there's not much else to blame.
